Qualified individuals can receive a range of services and supports. Options may include help with bathing, dressing and transferring, or light housekeeping, laundry, home-delivered meals, specialized equipment, caregiver relief, adult day care, nursing services, non-medical transportation, a personal emergency response system, electronic medicine dispenser, or help moving from a nursing home.
Region IV Area Agency on Aging helped Tom of Sodus, to begin receiving MyChoice services. He receives over 40 hours of in-home care each week. He also has a Care Management team of a social worker and nurse to oversee his health and care plan. Tom’s wife Martha says, “I can’t say enough about how much help we’ve gotten from your agency and I tell everybody. If you have a parent who needs help, by all means call them (AAA) and they will help you with whatever you need. We are pleased.”
If you, a friend or loved one has nursing-home level of care needs and wants to live at home, call Region IV AAA.
